The following talk slides explore the role of formal models of cognition in exploring neural signals, especially in the framework of representational similarity analysis (RSA). It also explore preliminary work using Bayesian generative modeling to recover the latent representation jointly with proposed mechanisms, rather than assuming the representation is captured by psychological similarity judgments.
